ANGELA CARLI

Angela Carli (Siena, 1978) is an artist who combines a solid Tuscan academic background with a bold, conceptual Pop Art aesthetic. Her research explores the perception of the female body, balancing fragility and strength. A distinctive feature of her technique is the use of vintage media, such as 1950s newspapers, crafted with a “torn poster” effect. Central to her poetics lies an obsession with the gaze, considered the “gateway to the soul” and the emotional core of her work. Working in her studio in Siena, Carli has exhibited internally and collaborated with the worlds of film and music.
